FORKLIFT / REACH TRUCK OPERATOR
Job Description
Forklift/ Reach Truck operator will be charged with the responsibility of ensuring the safe movement of commodities within the various warehouse locations.
Key Responsibilities
• Load and offload stock as per the supervisor’s instructions.
• Load stock into relevant allocated bin locations according to SOP.
• Pick and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
• Ensure safe handling of the Forklift/Reach Truck
• Report any mechanical or other faults on the assigned equipment to the Supervisor
• Maintain maintenance card for Forklift/Reach Truck
• Ensure that the Forklift/Reach Truck is serviceable and in good working condition.
Minimum Qualifications
• Be in possession of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
• Hands-on experience operating Forklifts/Reach Trucks trucks for not less than 3 years in a supply chain or manufacturing set-up.
• Be in possession of a valid driving/operator license .
• Ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Those with Certificates in First Aid or Occupational Safety and Health will have added advantage.
