Quality Assurance Officer
Job Description
Analysis of all incoming raw materials for quality and other client specific metrics. These includes physical and chemical checking of certificates of analysis against set specifications. The quality assurance officer will be expected to but not limited to sample, test, generate reports and interpretation of results.
Key Responsibilities
1 Preparation & Standardization of Reagents for laboratory use.
2 Basic Maintenance servicing of Lab Equipment.
3 Facilitation of internal external calibration of critical equipment in the business and maintenance of the register as well as repair and service by service providers.
4 Analysis validation of quality of raw materials for Research & Development purposes.
5 Perform SAP transactions in the system to facilitate movement of materials from one location to another as need arises
6 Quarantine and hold defective materials to be returned to the supplier, communicate for the same to be blocked in SAP.
7 Monitoring of Consumer Customer complaints.
8 Analysis of the efficacy of our research and development
9 Raw and packaging materials and finished good QIP (Quality Inspection Plan) creation and amendment.
10 Preparation of Certificate Of Analysis and Certificate of Conformance for export finished products after verification that the products conform to set specifications.
11 Assessment of all special samples including samples from Research and Development Retention
12 Appraisal of retention samples for shelf-life validation on need basis.
13 Assisting in packaging as and when needed
14 Artwork’s verification and communication to suppliers after approvals from all stakeholders.
15 Conduct audits as per audit schedule e.g. process line audit,trade audits etc.
16 Support Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) permit renewal.
17 Shift reliever
18 Liase with procurement to replenish laboratory reagents and equipment.
19 Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
1 Minimum 3 years working experience in related field(FMCG)
2 BSC. in a chemistry or science related course
3 Proficient in ISO 9001 compliance
4 Proficient in MS Office(Excel,Powerpoint,etc)
5 Proficient in SAP
