Job Description
Support daily operation of the site utilities including compressors, chiller plant, cooling towers, steam boilers, waste water treatment plant, hot water systems, domestic water system, fire protection systems and portable water systems by troubleshooting, repairing, monitoring and maintaining their components and sub-systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. To carry out installations and repairs on electrical apparatus, systems and electronic features of industrial, equipment and machines adhering strictly to electrical manuals, code, power tools, diagrams and other stipulations by utilizing hand tools, power tools, test and electrical equipment.
2. Setting up power supply; conduit and wiring for any installed equipment and machines,
including programmable controllers, while adhering to blueprints, electrical ethics, utilizing
voltage tester and hand tools
3. Perform Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) diagnostics including online monitoring of input and output signals.
4.Perform replacement on diagnosed faulty electrical elements of machine including motors, relays and switches; and set-up sensing mechanism, utilizing hand tools
5. Render assistance and own Permits To Work(PTW) and manage contractors’ roles for electrical duties, ensuring safety standards are followed
6. Observe high standards of safety and Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) and ensure machine, environment and associate’s safety at the area of work.
7. Timely and efficient attendance to all machine breakdowns to ensure availability.
8. Participate in Preventive maintenance as per plan in order to guarantee the smooth functioning of the utilities
9. The nature of our operations is 24/7 in which you will be expected to work on both day and night shift as well as on weekends and public holidays as may be required.
10. Participate in Condition Based Maintenance(CBM) as per plan
11. Execution of repairs as per plan in order to increase machine reliability and availability
12. Identification of maintenance needs per asset in order to facilitate planning and execution of maintenance tasks
13. Ability to use standard electrical testing equipment, including voltage tester, multi-meter, megger.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Technical qualification in Electrical and Controls Engineering(Minimum of National
Diploma)
2. Minimum 5yrs hands-on experience in electrical maintenance systems and industrial set up
with outstanding troubleshooting and technical aptitude
3. Good knowledge and demosntrated practical experience in electrical controls is an
advantage
